BACKGROUND

Hello fellow Goldenhawks!

 

My name is Justin Tabakian and I am a 4th year Communication Studies student with a minor is Psychology. I am born and raised in Mississauga, Ontario. Through combining media theory, psychology, and business marketing courses I hope to pursue a career in the marketing and/or advertising field. 

 

My involvement at Laurier includes:

  • House Council - Community Representative

  • LEAP Skillbuilder 

  • Career Centre Peer Advisor 

  • Campus Ambassador 

  • Wilf's Employee

 

 
I have also participated in a wide-range of intramurals including: hockey, soccer, flag-football, water polo and squash.  

With my past experience, I believe I can do the best job of representing the average student here at Laurier. I feel like I am the best candidate for representing us as a general student body, rather then a selective representation of a smaller group. One of the great opportunities Laurier provides to its students is the various ways of getting involved outside the classroom. Although these opportunities are embraced by some, others may find their voice unheard. I believe I can represent the voice of all students at Laurier.

 

In my opinion, Laurier breeds the leaders of tomorrow and it would be a honour and privilege to serve the students which make me proud to say that I am a Goldenhawk.
